Renewed RAA partnership

Cox Automotive and RAA renew partnership

RAA and Cox Automotive

The Retail Automotive Alliance (RAA) has signed a two-year contract extension with Cox Automotive that will see the organisations work together to drive innovation and the uptake of technology across the industry.

The RAA is a joint venture purchasing organisation, owned by its shareholder members. Now in its 13th year, the group employs more than 7,200 employees and represents 23 motor dealer groups with a combined turnover of £2.95 billion in the UK.

The partnership extension between the two organisations will see them continue to work together until December 2021 and will enable RAA members to benefit from Cox Automotive services, including a loyalty scheme to reward incremental business across the group.

The two year extension will see more than 124,000 high quality vehicles from across the RAA network will pass through Manheim's auction centres over the next four years.

In addition, a new collaboration group will also be formed with delegates from each party, to discuss the need for greater innovation and use of technology across the industry.

Peter Bell, MD Manheim, said: "We are very proud of our unique relationship with the RAA. We have worked with the group since 2005 and remain as excited about our partnership as we did from day one. This new contract feels like a natural step and will allow us to work together to drive innovation and consider new technologies aimed at future-proofing the automotive industry."

John Matthews, Business Development Director at the RAA, said: "Because our members already subscribe to numerous Cox Automotive products or services, it was a natural move to consolidate and broaden the RAA's engagement at all levels. Extending our partnership for a further two years to 2021 means we can invest the resource needed across both organisations to get the maximum value from the new deal for our shareholder members."
